Our botanical formulas are potent and effective. To ensure safe, optimal results, please read these guidelines carefully before beginning any Earthroot protocol.

Who These Formulas Are For

Earthroot Botanicals products are designed for individuals committed to a holistic, root-cause approach to their health. Our formulas work best when paired with a clean diet, proper hydration, and a genuine commitment to the healing process.

These products are ideal for individuals experiencing: chronic fatigue, hormonal imbalance, digestive dysfunction, lymphatic congestion, parasitic burden, recurring illness, or anyone seeking a deep cellular reset.

  • Suitable for holistic wellness; guidance may be needed for children or sensitive individuals
  • Those not currently on immunosuppressive therapy
  • Individuals willing to commit to the full protocol duration
  • Those who have consulted a physician if managing a diagnosed condition

Contraindications

While our formulas are entirely plant-based, certain conditions require caution or exclusion. Do not use Earthroot products if any of the following apply:

Do not use if: You are pregnant or breastfeeding · You have a known allergy to any formula ingredient · You are undergoing active chemotherapy · You have a diagnosed autoimmune condition without practitioner guidance · You are under 18 years of age

If you have been diagnosed with any chronic disease, we strongly recommend completing a consultation before beginning any protocol. Our practitioner will assess interactions and customize appropriately.

Dosage & Preparation

Each product includes a detailed instruction card. General preparation guidelines below:

Powders: Mix 1 teaspoon (3–5g) in 8oz of warm water. Take on an empty stomach, 30 minutes before meals. Begin with half-dose for the first 3 days.

Loose Teas: Use 1–2 teaspoons per 8oz of distilled water. Steep covered for 8–12 minutes in water just below boiling. Do not microwave. Drink within 20 minutes of preparation.

Consistency is critical. Missing more than 2 consecutive days resets the protocol efficacy window. Always complete the full recommended course.

Healing Reactions (Herxheimer Response)

A healing reaction — also called a Herxheimer or detox reaction — is a temporary worsening of symptoms as the body releases stored toxins. This is a sign the formula is working. It is not cause for alarm.

Common healing reactions include: mild headaches, fatigue, increased bowel movements, temporary skin eruptions, and mild nausea. These typically resolve within 3–5 days.

When to stop and seek care: Severe abdominal pain · Difficulty breathing · Rapid heartbeat · Signs of allergic reaction (hives, swelling, throat tightness). Discontinue immediately and seek medical attention if these occur.

If reactions feel overwhelming, reduce your dose by half and increase hydration. Do not abandon the protocol entirely without consulting us first.

Dietary Guidelines During Protocol

Our formulas work synergistically with a clean diet. For maximum results during your protocol:

  • Drink a minimum of 2–3 liters of filtered water daily
  • Eliminate or greatly reduce alcohol consumption
  • Minimize processed foods, refined sugars, and seed oils
  • Increase raw fruits and vegetables — especially leafy greens
  • Reduce heavy animal protein during active detox phases

Pregnancy & Nursing

All Earthroot Botanical products are contraindicated during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Several of our formulas contain uterine-stimulating botanicals and compounds that may transfer through breast milk. Do not use while pregnant or nursing under any circumstances.

If you are planning to conceive, we recommend completing any active protocol at least 30 days before attempting conception. Please consult with us directly for guidance.

Medication Interactions

Botanical compounds can interact with pharmaceutical medications. Of particular note:

  • Blood thinners (warfarin, aspirin) — several herbs affect platelet aggregation
  • Diabetes medications — blood sugar-regulating botanicals may amplify effects
  • Thyroid medications — endocrine-active herbs can alter hormone levels
  • Antidepressants / SSRIs — adaptogenic compounds may affect serotonin pathways
  • Immunosuppressants — immune-stimulating herbs may counteract effects

Storage & Shelf Life

To maintain the potency and integrity of your botanical products:

  • Store in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight
  • Keep powders sealed tightly — moisture degrades active compounds
  • Loose teas should be stored in airtight glass containers
  • Shelf life: 12–18 months unopened · 6 months after opening
  • Do not refrigerate unless specifically instructed
